Sustainable financing required for sustainable growth

The European Commission action plan aims to provide Europe with a new financial framework. The legislation will ensure that investors integrate sustainability issues into all of their investment decisions.

What will change

The action plan draws on 3 recommendations and 10 actions to allow the financial system to play a key role in the transition towards a greener, more inclusive economy.

Implications for Investors

Investors will need to take account of the EU Action Plan’s recommendations for the financing of a more sustainable world. The proposed measures include reorienting capital flows, mainstreaming sustainability in risk management and fostering transparency and long-termism.
