Climate Change

90 kb

Description

Arguably the biggest challenge our civilization has ever faced. Climate change will not only shape some of the biggest developments in science and technology of the 21st Century, but also focus the minds of legislators, central bankers, consumers, companies and investors alike for at least a generation.

What you will learn

By the end of this short course, you will be able to explain how the global economy will need to change in order to stall the catastrophic rise in global temperatures. You will discover the main offenders, and learn how businesses can help the world meet the Paris Agreement targets and, ultimately, get greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under control.

In this short thematic course you will learn:

  • The distinction between climate change and global warming and their causes
  • How the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) evolved over time
  • The Paris Agreement: how did we get here and how will it work?
  • The principles around the carbon credit system and the “dirty 100” responsible for about 70% of greenhouse emissions globally
